Job Description

Part-Time Administrator (Community Care)

Salary: £16,770
Hours: 25 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 2:00pm)
Location: Chipping Sodbury (Commutable from: Yate, Bristol, Kingswood, Thornbury)

Are you a Care Assistant or similar, looking to step into an office-based role within school hours?

We are looking for a reliable and organised Administrator to support the day-to-day running of a busy domiciliary care service.

This is not a standard admin role. While your core hours are office-based, you will also be part of the on-call rota every other week (including weekends). This is primarily a back-up, non-phone-holding role focused on administrative support.

However, in emergencies where there is no alternative cover, you may be required to step in and complete care calls outside of office hours. You would be a last resort and fourth in line, but flexibility is essential.

Any additional care calls completed will be paid as overtime.

This role would suit an experienced care assistant looking to step into an office-based administrative role within school hours.

The Role
  • Work closely with the Registered Manager to support daily operations
  • Provide compliance support for both staff and clients
  • Support recruitment, including arranging and conducting interviews
  • Auditing communication sheets and medication charts
  • Step in to support the team during staff absence or operational pressures
  • Participate in the on-call rota (every other week, including weekends)
  • Provide emergency support, including care calls where required (overtime paid)
The Person
  • Confident communicator with a professional approach
  • Previous care or administration experience preferred
  • Willing to be flexible and step in to provide first-hand care to clients as a last resort
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
Additional Information
  • Overtime paid for any care calls completed outside of core office hours
  • Opportunity to pick up additional shifts if desired
  • Varied role with exposure to operations, compliance, and recruitment
  • Supportive team environment
